Match Pewterware
Founded in 1995, Match was first to introduce Italian pewter the America. Each piece of Match pewter is a testament to the timeless values of craft and authorship often overlooked in this age of speed and convience. The classic forms harmonize with both traditional and modern settings. Product Care: Each piece of Match pewter is made with an alloy that is food safe, lead-free, FDA approved and requires little or no care. In general, all pewter tarnishes very slowly and requires almost no maintenance. Should you want to polish your pewter, almost any metal polish will do. Be sure to read the container before you purchase. To clean your pewter after using it to serve food, hand wash in warm water with a liquid dish soap. Be sure to dry the pewter completely. Water allowed to dry on your pewter may cause spots. If this occurs, they can easliy be removed by polishing or, believe it or not, by gently rubbing the area in small circular motions with "0000" steel wool. Match Flatware and Convivio dinnerware is dishwasher safe. When using a dishwasher, we recommend that you use a low heat setting with a liquid soap. Please do not wash any pewter in extreme temperatures. As with any metal, if you have hard water (water with a high mineral content) we do not recommend using a dishwasher, as elements that may be present in the water could possibly discolor or cause pitting of you pewter. Match Stemware and Barware should only be washed by hand, and should not be presoaked in hot water as a prelude to hand washing.
