About My Favorite Things

MFT Store Exterior My Favorite Things (MFT) opened its doors in 1985 in retail space above Bradfordville Animal Hospital in Tallahassee, FL under then-owner Judy Teal Parker. It featured pet supplies, wildlife art and antiques and became a favorite source for locals to find beautiful nature-themed art and gifts, as well as unique pet accessories.

As My Favorite Things grew and changed to meet the needs of its customers, it moved in with Rhinauer's Department Store's two Tallahassee locations and soon found a niche in tableware and home accessories. Another relocation in 1994, to Betton Place shopping center, allowed My Favorite Things to grow into one of the southeast's largest bridal gift stores. The store quickly became one of the premier shops in Tallahassee for the finer accessories that one expected to find only by traveling to much larger cities. With the strong growth of internet based retail websites, http://www.shopmft.com/ soon became and remains a strong part of My Favorite Things business.

As My Favorite Things celebrates over 27 years in business, owners Lauren and Mike Teal are proud to have received Tallahassee's Best Gift Shop award eleven times since 2000. They continue to work hard to keep My Favorite Things a Tallahassee tradition, and their latest venture is a new and larger retail location in northest Tallahassee's 'Market District' in the Pavilions shopping center at 1410 Market Street.

The stationery department has grown to offer the widest selection of paper accessories, stationery and invitations that Tallahassee has to offer.

My Favorite Things offers the largest selection of china, crystal and silver gifts in the southeast. Select from name brands such as Vietri, Waterford, Wedgwood, Lenox, Juliska, and Royal Crown Derby, just to name a few. We also carry exclusive designs from MacKenzie-Childs, Herend Porcelain, Anna Weatherly, Bernardaud, Simon Pearce and Mottahedeh.
